Get to Market

My father opened and closed businesses.

He wasn't a Silicon Valley founder. He was a blue-collar worker who saw problems, took risks, and figured things out as he went. I watched the sacrifices, the setbacks, and the rare moments when things finally clicked. It shaped how I think about founders to this day.

I've been on the other side of it too. I ran my own job-matching company for 18 months. It didn't scale the way I wanted it to. But it gave me something no amount of time inside a large company can replicate: I know what it feels like to back yourself when nothing is certain yet.

Today, I lead HubSpot for Startups, working across 35,000 venture-backed companies and 3,000+ VC and accelerator partners. I've spent years up close with companies scaling fast and others that stalled out before anyone wrote the post-mortem. And I've seen the same go-to-market patterns show up again and again.

That's why I started Get to Market.

Every Thursday, I take one of those patterns and make it useful: what's happening, the proof it's real, and what you can actually do about it.

One pattern per issue. Three minutes. Done.I write for early stage founders figuring out GTM for the first time. Founders making decisions with limited resources, under real pressure, trying to find what works before the runway runs out.

If that's you, Get to Market is for you.
